Engineers and Architects can use this special online load calculator to analyze the performance of VeriClad floor, wall and roof composite structural panels.
Veristeel's certified span tables have been engineered by TJC and Associates, Inc. based on certified third party tests conducted by Terrapin Testing, Inc. (IAS Testing Laboratory TL-159 and Florida Accreditation Laboratory TST2542) in accordance with ICC Evaluation Service Acceptance Criteria for Sandwich Panels AC04.

DIVISION: 07—THERMAL AND MOISTURE PROTECTION
Section: 07410—Metal Roof and Wall Panels
Third Party Tests for Structural Composite Floor and Roof Panels to confirm comprehensive compliance with ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria for Sandwich Panels AC04, conducted by Terrapin Testing (IAS TL-159, FLA TST2542), Report No. TT506001F
Transverse load testing in accordance with ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria for Sandwich Panels (AC04) Section 4.6; results incorporated into certified panel span tables
Concentrated load tests in accordance with ICC-ES AC04 Section 4.6.2; results incorporated into certified panel span tables.
Coupon tests in accordance with ICC-ES AC04 Section 2.2; results incorporated into certified panel span tables
Core density tests in accordance with ICC-ES AC04 Section 4.8; results incorporated into certified panel span tables
Uplift and shear connection tests in accordance with ICC-ES AC04 Section 4.2.7
Based on test data provided by Terrapin Testing (IAS TL-159, FLA TST2542), TJC & Associates has determined that the allowable diaphragm shear load for the VeriClad® panels is 250 pounds per lineal foot.  When subjected to the allowable shear load, a diaphragm with a 2-to-1 aspect ratio can be expected to deflect less than 0.1 inches.
Flame spread & smoke development test; the VeriClad® foam core panels are recognized as Class A (IBC), Class 1 (UBC), and they comply with IRC under Section R315.
Full-scale room corner fire test of roof/ceiling assembly; the VeriClad® foam core panels demonstrated acceptable fire performance with the use of a 15-minute thermal barrier (i.e., gyp board).
Full-scale fire test of floor assembly; the VeriClad foam core panels demonstrated acceptable fire performance with the use of a 1/4" reinforced mineral board.
